I currently reside in San Francisco, California. Photography is an integral part of my life. I have a passion for creating images with clean, elegant, thoughtful composition and substance; creating images that stir the soul and open eyes.
I’m a graduate of one of the most prestigious photography schools in the world. In 2004, I graduated with honors from Brooks Institute of Photography. To appreciate and understand photography is not merely “taking” snapshot pictures. Photography is technical on many fronts to “get it right”. Most snapshots are good for documenting time and place, but in order to elevate these "vignettes of time" into art are a completely different animal. The creation of an unforgettable image requires technical skill, timing, patience, persistence, and above all artistic presence.
With my wife Coco, who is a former news correspondent from Tokyo, I travel the world to create images of uncanny depth and allure.
