I seek to create images of the highest quality and resolution. Compromise and convenience is not an option. My aspiration is to seek perfection and to accept excellence with all my images. Therefore, all current images being created are using medium format digital with a 32 megapixel sensor 16 bit color. All images are taken with fixed focal length lenses with exceptional resolution and color fidelity. The amazing color rendition and micro detailing are the result of this pursuit of perfection. The images shimmer and pop with uncanny brilliance that only 16 bit medium format digital can. The dynamic range of the sensor is an amazing 12 stops of light. Seeing is believing.
Art is the subjective vision. Photography is the art of science within that vision. I believe great images stir one's soul and open eyes and are remembered forever. This is the cornerstone of why I pursue photography.
Chromogenic Print Quality
The prints that I offer for sale are of the highest quality and color rendition. They are the reference standard prints in museums, gallery's, and fine art collector's homes. These Chromogenic prints offer extremely vibrant colors and deep saturation. They are printed by a specific professional lab using my reference master files. The process uses traditional RA4 chemistry. The silver halide particle paper is exposed by light in the form of LED's or lasers. The professional paper is Fujicolor Crystal Archive Super Type PD Luster. The semi-matte surface of the luster paper diminishes glare off the print surface, whilst retaining a high contrast look. The original color gamut and explosive colors are faithfully retained in the final continuous tone print. There are no colorshifts or “metamarism” issues in different light sources as this is a real silver photographic print. This is my preferred printing method. While it is more expensive than other methods, the results are more than worth it.
Print Sizes
Generally all prints will be printed with a white border around the image. Specifically, an 18"x24" (45cm x 60cm) print will have exactly an 18"x24" (45cm x 60cm) image intact as you see on the website (except without the watermark & logo) with a one to two inch white border around it. It makes framing and matting easier for you or your chosen frame shop professional. Prints, such as the panorama's, may be full-bleed images with no border. If there are any specfic requests for exact sizing of images or final print sizes please contact me and I will make a custom print order for you at no additional expense. I want your print to be exactly as you envision it without compromise.
Archival Framing
The prints themselves are absolutely gorgeous and outshine the quality you see on your monitor/screen by far. Though, every monitor/screen is a bit different, but what you see in print will be stunning. As with all archival fine art prints, they should be placed behind glass or acrylic in a frame for permanence protection from UV and environmental effects as soon as possible. It is recommended for longevity to keep the print out of direct sunlight as well. These prints should last your lifetime and beyond with proper placement and care. Since the image is literally in the paper it won’t scuff off or scratch when handled carefully. The print paper is relatively thick with a resin coating so unfurling a large print should resist folding or bending when carefully viewed on initial inspection. Still, be careful to avoid damage to the print. It maybe recommended to have the print professionally matted and framed to your liking to protect your investment.
